Maybe a new way of generating stats?

So I've been doing some thinking around Extinction and the character creation aspect of it.

The game (I feel) is strongest as a one-shot or small campaign system. The stat generation in it works pretty well for a long form campaign as it is, and it's not a bad system, I just no longer feel like it serves the game the best that it could.

If you look at the Borg games & the borg-likes, those games have a strong presence because it's fun to just sit down and play & it's absurdity from start to finish. Now, am I going to shift this game into a borg-like? Absolutely not. I love the borg-likes, but it's not for me at this time to create for. However, I took inspirations from their stat generation as well as D&D...but like old D&D.

I'm still doing some shifting around & some testing, but from what little bit I've seen so far I believe this may be the way to go in the full release of the game. Remember, this bad boy is in "soft launch" - the ttrpg version of a "beta".

Have a good day all!
